#NaBloPoMo
I am mesmerized by the sight of people dancing. The coordination of movement, the twirls and lifts and the sheer pleasure of being in rhythm of the music beats, is such a pure joy to behold. It’s poetry in motion. It’s arty, in the sense it’s dramatic.
I remember joining salsa classes in 2003 after seeing a movie (don’t remember which one it was). I was fascinated by the grace and speed that one needed in this dance form. I also realised, it wasn’t for me for these precise two reasons. I preserved for 6 months before giving up. But I retained the movements in my mind and body and still break into impromptu dancing bits; albeit in the privacy of my living digs.
Watching dance performances, classical or stylistic; indian or foreign – I enjoy them one and all. One that sticks to mind is that of the swirling dervishes whom I had an opportunity to watch last year. They seemed to be so serene and in sync with themselves; it’s as if the surroundings didn’t exist.
I think that’s what this card is trying to tell me – just be in sync!!!! I took its advise seriously and put on some trippy beats to which I twirled and pranced all over the house; it was dancing as if no was watching me dance (Literally) ; though I am sure the neighbours wondered at the noise!
I sincerely urge you to try this out – its as if you let out a wild but repressed part of you that’s just dying to show you it’s there!!!
November 2016 is my month to participate in the NaBloPoMo with Blogher

I do not dance but I see that your words at hinting at a rhythm. That which is created when sound and steps come together. A harmony of sorts, isn’t it?
Exactly Parul – thats what I feel so too when I see a dance.
