I once again dove into the pack and selected a card at random with my left hand (heart connection) and pulled out a Balance card for today as well. This one tells me to walk to the edge; to push myself to my limits and test to see how far I can go before the rubber band snaps me back.

I could choose any hobby or skill to test myself and I decided to work on reading blogs which has become a recent part of my things-to-do, following a blogging stint (with an awesome blogging community that truly motivates and pushes one to blog seriously) wherein we were encouraged to write-share our own posts plus read-share others blogs too. The daily recommended dose was to read four blogs and 2 posts each; I had continued this practice even after the campaign ended as I felt this reading was a big booster to my blog’s growth.

Today I started reading and after three straight hours I have covered about ten blogs, 2 posts each; which makes it 20. Thats a huge number for me and I realised I could read some more. Believe me, I did! And during all this reading, I never felt the strain or boredom or the mind wandering/itching to do other pending stuff. Wow! I am amazed at myself and hope to continue this practice daily or at least on alternate days.

I just loved the quote on the back of this card which truly amplifies the main card. I believe I achieved both today – a stand and I flew too.

Flexing the muscles of my limits was actually pretty enjoyable and I will be extending this to my morning walk, yoga and meditation practice for this month.

{Actually come to think of it, I have already exerted my blogging muscles by taking on not one but two blogging challenges for this month. This is from someone who wrote once in six months and that too grudgingly or had too many unfinished drafts.}

Look at my blog now –  from 15,776,751 on 4th september 2016, my blog rank stands at 2,45,818 today. If this is not a massive achievement; I don’t know what is!! Is the best thing that’s happened this year to me, for me and by me!! I guess I found my stand with this activity though it feels at time that I am flying over new horizons……

Have you tested your skills/abilities/patience beyond your limits ever – how was it for you? Any tips/advise to make this journey smoother? I would love to hear from you on this my dear readers!

November 2016 is my month to participate in the NaBloPoMo with Blogher

I am also participating in Blogbuddy 3.0 with Blogchatter and my team is called BlogBusters

  1. I tried pushing by doing NaBloPoMo and NaNoWriMo at the same time – but, with my various responsibilities, I think WriMo is going to have to GoGo. But I’ll do what I can, when I can. And congratulations on improving your rank.

    1. Wow thats one hefty thing to do Alana – hats off to you for considering it…. I dont think I am ready to do so much yet. But am happy testing the waters bit by bit.
      Thanks – blog rank is a HUGE achievement for me, considering where I started from… 🙂

  2. I love your photos of colored pencils. I made a list this morning with my set 🙂 It’s fun to get lost in the posts of other bloggers.
    One thing I have learned, through trial and error, is taking on too much can make the challenges we impose on ourselves too challenging. I have started limiting my focus. This month it’s NaBloPoMo. Week 1 done! I came across your post on the Write Tribe groups site on Facebook.

    1. Hola Wendy- thank you for stopping by and you have made my day by appreciating my pic – the effort it takes to crete a new pic everyday is killer for me. Thanks a tonne for the appreciation.
      Do share your list; would love to see what you did with colour pencils… 🙂
      Yeah I agree about biting more than we can chew; but its been good so far. I think I will be able to handle this much. Fingers crossed….
      I look forward to visiting your blog to read your posts too. Cheers
